Jai

Jai Varadaraj, became Chair of SAAC in 2018, after being involved with the organization for the last decade. A leader and visionary, she is committed to promoting and supporting the prolific South Asian art collection at SDMA.

Passionate about art, Jai has an eclectic collection of paintings and sculpture from all over the world. A collector of South Indian bronzes she supports the traditional bronze sculptors in rural South India.

Jai, holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and completed an executive management program at the Harvard Business School. She manages an automobile business in India and a travel company that focuses on spiritual tourism.

She is an active member of Rotary International and works with the international committee on implementing projects in India. Traveling between San Diego and India, Jai is a frequent traveler across continents. A mother of three adult children, she is currently busy advocating “PARENTHOOD.“

Addicted to tennis, the theater, fine wine, interesting experiences, laughter and fun… Jai is restless and open to new adventures.
